NEWSLETTER FROM REP. RYAN CHAMBERLIN

We’ve been busy, and I’m glad you’re reading this quick update from me. I will always be a better Representative when we’re sharing information and when I’m receiving feedback from my constituents. As you read on, please remember to let me know if you have any questions or ideas.

It’s worth reminding you that our very important Primary Election is coming up on August 18 . I hope to see you while I’m out campaigning throughout the district. If you would like to get involved in the campaign or put a sign in your yard, we would love to hear from you. Whatever you do, don’t forget to vote! It’s a sacred privilege and responsibility, and we should all participate.

As always, please do not hesitate to contact my office if there is something we can do for you. My team and I would be more than happy to help you in any way we can.

Abraham Lincoln in The Villages

It was a privilege to spend time with Governor Ron DeSantis and attend his press conference in The Villages to unveil an America 250 statue of Abraham Lincoln .

While other states are tearing down statues, we are putting them up! It’s a sad situation that so many of our heroes from history have been deemed unacceptable by the liberals that dominate higher education and the mainstream media. I’m proud of our Governor for taking a stand on these kinds of issues and what better place than The Villages to remind people that history and traditional values are not dead in Florida.

I spoke at the Let Freedom Ring Event put on by The Ocala Church to celebrate America's 250th birthday. What a wonderful time to reflect on our history as a nation, which was founded by people who knew we should live in freedom, especially freedom to worship. Our faith is foundational to everything good about America and I’m so grateful we can continue to build on the legacy our Founders gave us.

Hands of Mercy Everywhere (H.O.M.E.)

I joined Senator Stan McClain in presenting a check to Hands of Mercy Everywhere (H.O.M.E.), a wonderful organization which provides Christian residential homes for teen mothers and their babies and girls at risk of sex trafficking. So much work goes into providing support to this at-risk population. Organizations like H.O.M.E. deserve our gratitude and praise.

This past session, we were able to secure significant state funding for H.O.M.E.’s Teen Moms and At-Risk Youth Prep Vocational Training Program .

I made an appearance on the Bob Rose Show and gave him my thoughts on two hot topics, data centers and property taxes. Bob always asks great questions and gives me an opportunity to get my message out. We live in exciting times with a lot of technological advancements, but we can’t ignore the potential costs to our land, water, and communities. And we definitely would be better off without property taxes!

I had the opportunity to open for the Freedom Leadership Conference at the College Central Florida . My hat is off to CCF and the great work they’re doing for our community, providing high quality education and keeping costs reasonable for the people of Marion County and our surrounding area. I was happy to share the vision of America’s freedom for the last 250 years and to talk about what it takes to keep us free.

I also had the opportunity to speak to America's Tea Party of Florida about my work to end property taxes and to answer their questions about the upcoming ballot initiative. So much has transpired since the Tea Party arose and led to a conservative sweep of elections in 2010. We have to continue working hard for fiscal discipline and to stop government from taxing and spending too much.

The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) is a great organization that provides resources for legislators all across the country who want to share ideas about public policy and work together to advance good legislation. I was pleased to attend ALEC’s Annual Meeting , where we heard from Dr. Mehmet Oz and a host of great speakers. I’ll definitely benefit from this time as I get ready for the next legislative session.

I proud to report I’ve been endorsed by Chief Financial Office Blaise Ingoglia and Attorney General James Uthmeier . Both men have been instrumental in establishing a safer and more secure Florida, where freedom is our first priority and the entire country looks to us for leadership. This transformation of our state would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of these conservative officials.

I’m also proud to have been endorsed by Associated Industries of Florida , the “Voice of Florida Business” in the Sunshine State. AIF pursues a simple agenda: to defend the free market, to create jobs, and to keep Florida prospering.

One final word to remind you of my top priority, to end property taxes in the State of Florida ! To stay up to date with my work on this issue, please follow me on Facebook . As always, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact my office.

Thank you for your continued support of my leadership in the Florida House! I look forward to sharing with you again soon.
