Friends and Neighbors,
The past few weeks have been busy both in Tallahassee and back home in the district. From Special Sessions focused on redistricting and the state budget, to representing Florida at the White House State Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C., there has been no shortage of important work taking place. I also had the opportunity to attend several meaningful events in our community, and I’m excited to share a few updates with you below.

Congressional Redistricting |
|
|
|
Special Session D was called by the Governor to address congressional redistricting. After each decennial Census the Legislature redraws the districts from which Florida voters elect their state representatives, state senators, and members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Redistricting is the redrawing of congressional and state legislative districts to adjust for uneven growth rates in different parts of the state. Districts determine which voters participate in which elections.
After significant debate and discussion, Florida redistricting passed the House floor with an 83-28 vote! I enjoyed the opportunity to take part in this historic vote as we worked through an important issue for the future of our state. |

White House State Leadership Conference |
|
|
|
I had the privilege of representing Marion County at the White House State Leadership Conference for Florida in Washington, D.C. The conference brought together members of the Florida Legislature and leaders from across our state to hear directly from senior White House officials and federal agency leaders on key issues impacting our nation’s future. Friends, it is true, the rest of this nation depends on and is watching what-Florida-does. |

2026 Legislative Report Card |

I am excited to share that I received an A rating from the Florida Chamber of Commerce. I will continue to work with the Florida Chamber of Commerce in helping to keep Florida a FREE ENTERPRISE State! |

Really enjoyed attending the 50th Anniversary of Hop-A-Jet based in South Florida. Also, I was proud to attend with one of their newest and youngest Lear Jet pilots and our son, Rey Chamberlin. |

Rotary Club of Ocala-Silver Springs |
|
|
|
I had a meaningful discussion with the Rotary Club of Ocala-Silver Springs about the challenges facing Florida families and businesses, particularly the burden of rising property taxes, affordability concerns, and the need for greater accountability in government.
As elected officials, we must remain focused on defending taxpayers, preserving Florida’s affordability, and ensuring government operates effectively, responsibly, and with transparency. I’m grateful for the thoughtful conversation and for the Rotary Club’s ongoing dedication to making a positive impact in the Ocala community. Open dialogue like this plays an important role as we continue working to strengthen Florida’s future. |

This week, the Florida Legislature kicked off the budget process for Florida. I am confident that we will come to an agreement and end up continuing to set an example that other states can follow. |

Marion County Fallen Officer Memorial |
|
|
|
I had the privilege to attend the Marion County Fallen Officer Memorial to honor the brave law enforcement officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten, and we continue to keep their families, loved ones, and the law enforcement community in our thoughts as we honor their lasting legacy. |

|
|
